Srinagar, Sep 07 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party Chairman, Srinagar MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Thursday unequivocally condemned the brutal murder of Satinder Kaur, senior BHSS Eidgah and Deepak Chand, a teacher at the same school, claiming that the series of killings in Kashmir is another horrific manifestation of cruelty and barbarism and will inadvertently complicate the return of peace to the region.
While condemning the murder of Satinder Kour and Deepak Chand of Jammu and Aloochi Bagh Srinagar respectively, Dr Farooq said: âI wholeheartedly condemn the vile killings and express my unison with the families of the victims in their hour of grief and loss. . The upsurge in incidents of targeted killings also raises a big question mark over the security scenario in Kashmir, particularly in the city of Srinagar. The perpetrators, who committed this heinous act, have no religion. No religion tolerates violence. Nothing justifies such bloodshed, âhe said.
While describing the murders as cold-blooded murder that cannot be matched by anything he said, “I express my sincere condolences to the bereaved families and pray the Almighty to give the bereaved family the strength to endure loss in this hour of mourning. “
Omar Abdullah, while condemning the killings, said: âAnother round of targeted killings, this time two teachers at a public school in the Eidgah neighborhood of Srinagar city. Words of condemnation are not enough for this inhuman act of violence but I pray that the souls of the deceased will rest in peace.
Meanwhile, party secretary general Ali Muhammad Sagar, additional secretary general Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, party treasurer Shammi Oberoi, senior leaders Mubarak Gul, Shameema Firdous, Irfan Shah, deputies Mohammad Akbar Lone Party, Hasnain Masoodi, Zone Presidents Ali Mohammad Dar, Dr Bashir Veeri, Javed Dar, Provincial Vice President Mohammad Syed Akhoon, Spokesman Imran Nabi Dar, District President Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar and officials from the Sardar JS Azad minority cell, MK Yogi also unequivocally condemned the killings.
Praying for peace to deceased souls and courage for the bereaved to endure irreparable loss, officials said, âThe consecutive killings of civilians are a matter of concern to anyone in their right mind. The rifle barrel continually feeds on our people, no matter what religion they belong to. We stand in solidarity with those who have lost their loved ones, especially the families of Satinder Kour and Deepak Chand and many other families. The immediacy of the situation calls for the strengthening of fraternity and the maintenance of community good nature. (KNS)
