“Quintessence of sacrifice, Dr. Awasthi has given a new direction to the youth”

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke today at a national seminar held in commemoration of the 16th Punyatithi of nationalist thinker Dr Suresh Awasthi.
Addressing the Seminar in virtual mode, the Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to Dr. Suresh Awasthi and shed light on the life of the great political thinker.
Dr. Awasthi was the epitome of sacrifice and selfless service to the nation. An ardent nationalist thinker, educator and philosopher of humanism, Dr. Awasthi ji has always remained a powerful means of personality transformation and has played an important role in giving new direction to the youth of the future, said the Lieutenant Governor .
It is a great privilege and honor for me to have received the utmost affection and guidance from Dr Awasthi ji in my life. He was not just a teacher, but a great mentor who reshaped the understanding of political, ideological, spiritual and social values, and paved the way for political thinkers and intellectuals, the Lieutenant Governor added.
The Lieutenant Governor observed that the theme of today’s National Seminar “Bharatiye Sanskriti ka Vaishvik Prabhaav” is a fitting tribute to Dr Suresh Awasthi. Dr. Awasthi was keenly aware of India‘s rich tradition and age-old values, and always encouraged young people to become a capable and character-oriented human resource who would work with determination and dedication in nation-building, did he declare.
The ideologies and philosophies of great personalities like Dr. Awasthi laid the foundation for a united and progressive India. Today, India’s significant contribution in diplomatic relations, global economic prosperity and cultural heritage is recognized. India can rightly be said to have linked the world in a single thread by taking the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and spreading the message of peace to people all over the world, the Lieutenant Governor said.
After several centuries, India is again seen as a symbol of prosperity rather than just a geographical region. India is the only country in the world that has always had immense external and internal wealth. India was known as the golden bird because of its economic prosperity, which had enormous ideological prosperity, he added.
The Lieutenant Governor pointed out that under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister, India’s strategic, economic and soft power strength has gained new strength, keeping old socio-cultural values ​​intact.
As we celebrate 75 years of independence, India is emerging as the world leader and a powerful source of cultural and traditional knowledge. From health to environmental protection, today the whole world is looking to India for solutions to overcome new challenges, he added.
As part of our rich socio-cultural values, India provided free vaccines and sent medical teams to over 100 countries during the Covid pandemic. Due to India’s ancient health science, 80% of the world’s population uses traditional medicine in one form or another. Also, the WHO is building the world’s first traditional medicine center in India, the Lieutenant Governor said.
