Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Sanchi University will now train employees working in the corporate sector. Various dimensions of Indian philosophy will be harnessed in the corporate sector for stress management and capacity building, Registrar Alkesh Chaturvedi has informed.
Two departments, including the Corporate Training Department and the Strategy and Policy Formulation Department, were established at the university.
Sanchi University’s Academic Council, dedicated to Buddhist and Indian philosophy, has also approved the introduction of computer science, mass communication and journalism courses. Sanchi University will also establish departments of computer science, sociology, political science and peace research studies under the Center for Strategic Studies.
Department of Vastu Shastra and Vedic Philosophy and Science will also be established at Sanchi University from the next session. The Department of Buddhist Medicine and Astrology has also gained approval from the Vidya Parishad.
A department of Indology and Linguistics will also be created within the framework of the School of Comparative Religion. Sanchi University will start Pali Prakrit, Sinhalese, Japanese, Tibetan and German classes from the next session at the Foreign Languages Department of the School of Languages, Literature and Arts.
Courses in Indian Classical Dance, Singing and Heritage Management under Bhartiya Kala Kendra, Manuscript, Archeology and Asian Drama under Asian Kala Kendra will also be launched at Sanchi University.
During the Academic Council meeting, KG Suresh from Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication, Prof. Atanu Mohapatra from Central Gujarat University, Vice Chancellor of Sanchi University, Dr. Neerja Gupta , the Registrar, Professor Alkesh Chaturvedi, remained present.
