Punjab Congress official criticizes AAP and SAD

Punjab Congress official Harish Chaudhary described Aam Aadmi Party and Shiromani Akali Dal as ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams of Bharatiya Janata Party

Punjab Congress official Harish Chaudhary on Thursday described the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as “A” and “B” teams of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which he said, tried to “split” people along the lines of religion by deceiving them.

Addressing a press conference, Chaudhary alleged that the BJP has always engaged in false propaganda. “Congress is using the powers of government to help the common people of the country, while the BJP is using the power of the headquarters to divide people by spreading false propaganda,” he added.

Goa Congress Leader Girish Chodankar, Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV and Punjab Congress Election Media Officer Pawan Khera were also present.

Srinivas highlighted the problems faced by migrants in Delhi during the pandemic and said the AAP and BJP had failed to handle the situation.

AAP no challenge for Congress: Rawat

Former Punjab affairs official Harish Rawat said the AAP was unable to challenge the Punjab Congress.

He said the people of the state saw the AAP crumble after making it the main opposition with 20 seats in its first Assembly elections in Punjab in 2017.

“They want peace and quiet in the border state and a stable government but that is only possible when there is stability in the party,” said the former CM of Uttarakhand. Rawat said the Punjabis would not like to experiment with the AAP and would rather prefer the Congress. “Only Congress can get everyone on board and give stable government,” he added.
