Rector (House for Duty) vacancy in East Anglia

A unique opportunity to serve as Rector of the ancient and beautiful Church of St Botolph in the heart of historic Cambridge on a home of duty basis. The Church has traditional and permanent links with the city and the dress. It stands at the old Trumpington Gate to the city and is committed to welcoming visitors, travelers and passers-by.

We retain a strong appreciation of the Book of Common Prayer, from which all our services are drawn.

We are looking for someone with:

  • a commitment to the BCP not only for its language but as an inspiring vehicle for faith, belief, worship and preaching;
  • knowledge and appreciation of the place of music in worship and the benefits of a strong choral tradition;
  • an interest in people and a willingness to engage both the regular congregation and the approximately 30,000 visitors each year from many different countries, religions and cultures.
