UP has been completely transformed, the BJP rule to remember for suraksha, sushasan: Yogi Adityanath

Presenting a “record” of the four and a half years of BJP government in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that the state had undergone a “complete transformation” and its perception before the country as well as the world has changed as there have been no riots since 2017 and strict measures have been taken against the mafia and criminals during his reign.

The chief minister also said his rule would be remembered for “surkasha (security) and susashan (good governance)” for women as well as for industry.

“Uttar Pradesh ke sare chaar saal ka karyakal, suraksha aur sushashan ke drishti se ek smarniya karyakal mana jayega… (We will remember the four and a half years of reign of Uttar Pradesh for security and good governance)… In the past , the mafias under the patronage of the government were creating a climate of fear, and riots were raging in the state… Now investor confidence in the state is growing and UP has become number two in the country in terms of ease of doing of business, ”said the chief minister, adding that his government’s priority is to ensure the safety and security of women.

He said criminals were treated firmly regardless of their caste, religion and social status in order to provide a safe and secure environment in the state.

Making a comparison with the previous Samajwadi party government, Adityanath slammed the opposition party over the law
and the order and accused him of engaging in corruption and nepotism in government jobs.

“2012 se 2017 ke kaal khand ko bhi dekha hoga. Jyada purnai baat nahi, kewal issase thik pehle ka karyakal dekha hoga ki average har teesare chauthey din ek bara danga Uttar Pradesh mein hua hai. Lekin pichale sare chaar varsha mein Uttar Pradesh mein koi danga nahi hua. (You’ve all seen the scandals that took place between 2012 and 2017. It wasn’t very long ago. In the previous government, there were community clashes every 3-4 days. But during the four in recent years, there has not been a single riot incident, ”he said.

“2017 ke pehle, transfer to publication ek udyog ho chuka tha. Iski bhi boli lagti thi (Prior to 2017, the transfer and secondment of officials had become a business and open auctions were held for positions, “the CM said, adding that no one can bring such accusations against his government.

“Whenever new government vacancies were announced, family members used to walk across the state to extort money. But in our four and a half years of rule, there have been no allegations of extortion or corruption to fill vacancies, ”the chief minister said, adding that a safe, working environment transparency and the ability to take spontaneous decisions has led manufacturers to want to invest in Uttar Pradesh.

Targeting previous chief ministers, Adityanath said there was a time when people became chief minister just to participate in a competition to build a huge bungalow for themselves by demolishing government bungalows.

“Unlike them (previous governments), we didn’t build luxurious homes for ourselves. The last four and a half years have been devoted to good governance. Our government has focused on building houses for the poor 42 lakhs in the state, ”he said, doing a veiled search of his predecessor Akhilesh Yadav.

“The last four and a half years have been devoted to good governance. And we didn’t build houses for ourselves, but for 42 lakh of poor people in the state, ”he said.

Adityanath also targeted Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP regime before 2007 and pointed out that there was a “khaydyan ghotala” (grain scam) in 2005-2006, which the CBI is still investigating.

He said that prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh was seen as the state that restricts the country’s development, but today it leads the implementation of the majority of central government programs.

Amid the accusation of alleged mismanagement by the opposition during the Covid pandemic, Adityanath said, “Unlike in the past, if there is a calamity today, the government is taking all measures for safety and prevention. And if there is a loss of life, affected families always receive compensation on time. “

The chief minister claimed that his government has provided more than 5 million lakh rupees in financial benefits through the transfer of direct benefits to young people, poor people, women and farmers under various programs over the course of over the past four and a half years. He also claimed to have provided 4.5 lakh of jobs to young people without any bias and only on merit by following all booking rules.

A brochure entitled “Vikaas Ki Leher, Har Gaon Har Shaher”, listing the achievements of the UP government was also published on this occasion. Among other things, the BJP government claimed that 4.50 lakh of young people got government jobs. “UP, which was seen as an obstacle on the way to development, is number one in implementing 44 core programs,” Adityanath said.

Citing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as the culmination of his government, Adityanath said he had kept all promises made in the BJP’s “Lok Kalyan Patra” ahead of the 2017 assembly elections.

“We are blessed that during our government, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya began under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi… However, opposition parties used to view religious festivities from a community perspective. . They always remained worried about organizing Deepotsav in Ayodhya and thought that if they did so they would get the label of being community, ”he said, adding that his government had developed places of religious tourism from Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Chitrakoot Dham, Vidhyavasini. among others.

“In the 2022 Assembly elections, the BJP will cross 350 seats (out of 403), and there should be no doubt,” the chief minister said.
